    A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its
    derivatives:

    * Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

    Summary

    bsdiff could be made to crash or run programs as your login if it
    opened a specially crafted file.

    Software Description

    * bsdiff - generate/apply a patch between two binary files

    Details

    It was discovered that bsdiff mishandled certain input. If a user
    were tricked into opening a malicious file, an attacker could
    cause bsdiff to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code.

    Update instructions

    The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the
    following package versions:

    Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
    bsdiff - 4.3-15+deb8u1build0.16.04.1
