DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Chan-hom
was located near Latitude 24.5 degrees North and Longitude
137.2 degrees East. Chan-hom is moving west at 6 mph. It is
expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a
slight increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 65 mph. Chan-hom is
forecast to intensify through Thursday possibly becoming a
typhoon.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
200 miles.
