Well I am still on holiday, it's my main break of the year, it should summer here but instead it feels very autumnal or spring like (not su which) but certainly not warm and hot :(
We've had a ton of rainy days, cooler temps, I even lit the fire a fe days to warm the house up, not much of a summer. Meh.
Oldest son turned 30 yesterday, we visited and wished him well (he li locally), then I was a taxi for oldest daughter who is 28. She's livi on her own (also locally) but had some surgery recently and needs hel getting to a pharmacy.
A couple of days ago I helped youngest son (20) shift flats and spent hours with a trailer lugging stuff in/out of it while we got him acro town (yep he's local also).
My youngest daughter (17) is about to turn 18 in a few weeks and star Polytechnic this year but plans to live at home this year. It's going be an interesting year for all of us. Parents are planning extra household duties/responsibilities for her as she's getting older and must learn it's not all cakes and rainbows with wishing etc. done for her all the time :)
Today I see some sunshine so may try and get out and do some gardenin well as going for a walk. I managed a walk last night when we saw som sun as well and the winds dropped away. Today it's rather windy but a least it looks like it could be warm.
No plans to travel far these holidays, costs and being cautious aroun covid are keeping me mostly local. I do plan to visit my parents in t coming 2-3 months. My mum seems more frail when I talk to her on the phone. I'd like to go see her. She's in her 70s. Dad seems fine.
What else, oh, still working on forms, and moved a ham radio club web over to https y/day so that was good.
Happy Wednesday to you from NZ.

It's been a while since I last posted here. I hope you and everyone else are doing fine.
Good to see your family's doing well, Avon. As for myself, It's been a interesting past few months. Built a new PC for myself in November:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB (Grandfathered from my last machine)
- 16 GB DDR4-3000 RAM
And thanks to my aunt, uncle and cousin, a nice new WD NVMe.. which doesn't play nice with Windows. I spent a whole 3 days trying to get
Linux and Windows to coexist on the same drive. I couldn't wrap my head around GPT on Linux so I decided to keep it as MBR and tried to install Windows and clone my Linux install.to the SSD. Windows outright
*refused* to install to the drive, giving some random-ass hex error (as seems to be Microsoft's fucking custom these days). I eventually said
fuck it, reinstalled Windows 10 on my older SSD and formatted it for
GPT, and had to then unfuck GRUB because I dared make an auxiliary partition on that NVMe in Windows.
Why is that everything microsoft touches, turns to shit?
.. Computer problems aside, I'm just sitting here waiting for my stimulus check and riding out the most tense 14 days of my life after what
happened on the 6th.
Other than that, not much else to report. Life's been kinda lackluster other than starting work on a video series on Youtube with my friends.
All in all, I haven't forgotten about you guys, just been kinda all over the place lately.
Born too late to experience the scene.
Born just in time to see it come back.

Reposting since NCBBS has had a proverbial ballgag on it for some
reason since god knows when. Good to have the board working again
though - thanks again, Meatlotion!
