I had Pfizer a couple of weeks ago and only had a slightly sore upper arm. I actually didn't even feel the needle go in.

Tomorrow I get my second. I've heard it's worse. We'll see.

Good luck! I get my second on Monday. Also Pfizer.

You will likely have a much stronger reaction to the second shot,
probably a good idea to take that day off from work... I was not able
to work that day, but when I woke up the next day, it was like a switch
was flipped and I was 100% over it. I had pretty severe chills and body
aches during that day after the shot (also had Moderna).

Pretty common to have a reaction to the second. I sure did. Took about
12 hours after the shot to start, and then lasted about 24 hours, and
    went away completely.

    well done.

Here in NZ our roll out has started but the bulk of the population won't
start to get them until around July onwards. To start with they are focused
on border workers and those who work in managed isolation/quarenteen facilities.

I've heard that. My company has a pool of PTO allocated for covid-related
time off, and post-vaccine recovery is included. I think I'll take a day off just in case.

They lowered the age restriction here, so I was able to get in.

I took my mom to a drive-in site for her shot in February. The woman looked
in the car and asked if we were both getting the vaccine.

I said, with a slightly shocked tone, "Do I look 75 to you?"

The nurse said, "Well, we're vaccinating people as young as 65 as of this week..."

    I said "DO I LOOK 65????"

    She waved us on...

I found out yesterday that I'm eligible for a shot as a part of Phase 1B, as I'm in the emergency services (there was some uncertainty about volunteers, because of the ambiguous wording in the Federal government's information), so I'd better book it. Would like to have my first shot a few weeks before heading to Queensland - nothing against Queenslanders, but passing through 4 airports, 2 capital cities and a number of large regional centres in a week is bound to increase exposure risk to anything that might sneak out of quarantine.

Yep that seems common too. Funny how some people have a fairly strong reaction to it, and others don't. Glad we're probably getting towards

The problem is, the Pfizer vaccine is effective upto 6 months. What happens to those who got the vaccine first and still waiting for the stragglers to get theirs? There's a break in the chain and it starts all over again.

I hope it does last longer. We'll have to see.

I got my first Pfizer shot a few weeks ago, getting my booster on Monday 4/12.

I didn't have a bad reaction to the first shot, expecting the second one to put me on my butt for a few days.
