Hi there.

I have just been told of a planned power cut at my home this coming Friday (New Zealand time) as the local power company is swapping power lines on to a new pole they are installing outside our house.

Power will be off here from 9am until later that afternoon so I am looking to shutdown the following during that time.

Cheers ears, it should be fine.. I'm just glad I will be at home when this
work is done so I can ensure all gear shuts down correctly and I can bring it back up when it's all done. They have to come into the house to check the
board and the polarity etc. before the job is totally done... so it's quite a major event.

This one is interesting to me, its close but not the same as Cheers Big �Ears... which derives from Noddy, and was reasonably common here....

Also interesting, it comes from an earlier generation here, and big ears is �by
far the more prevalent. Inf fact prior to avon using it, I'd never seen �or heard cheers ears..
