    Hi All,

Looks like someone just dumped a bunch of dupes into the net. Judging from
the path, it came through a Fido address...

    Something back fired.

I think I got more because I switched from BBBS so HPT didn't have them
    all in it's dupe base.

I'm just about to switch to MagiMail!

According to the logs, HPT did catch 5624 of them as dupes. I wonder if the others were from before I changed over to HPT...

Yep seeing a bunch across several echos, seems to be mostly NET 1 HUB posts being looped back in to several echos.. and some I have made going back some time... it's weird.

Similar thing at NET 1 HUB as it was not running the same dupe base for 30
days while we were using HPT...

Guess I was lucky, the dupe wave hasn't reached my system. 0 dupes in the last couple of days..

Synchronet must have caught a lot of them. MagiMail does not appear to
have, but I may not have it set up to do so. :)

Not sure what happened, but your system seems to have burped messages to
4/158. It's all good, as it sounds like most of them got flagged as dupes.

I wonder what could have caused that - I added a new node onto another net recently, that's all that changed.

    That's me, right? 21:4/158? I wonder if it's anything I did? Because I
    actually did a lot LOL:

This past week, with a little time on my hands, I've been experimenting with 3 BBS systems just to make sure I've got the one that'll work for me. I set up and fully configured ftn/echomail for Mystic a43 & pre-alpha 44, Enigma and Synchronet -- all of them on a Debian/pi4 and also Ubuntu 18LTS/Google Cloud Platform VMs. Ran a bunch of Areafix/Filefix commands on each.

And on top of that, I changed my BBS name.

(I'm committing to Mystic 44+ BTW, and hoping to contrib utilities on the
    MPL front).

I also feel like I'm at a point with Mystic new configuration, having done it over and over and over that I could help Avon with his next tutorial videos
-- maybe help with new Sysop docs, too - heh.

Anyway, sorry if I triggered any dupe-storms in the process :)
