    Well in the way of all good things it came to and end. :( The octo core in
    TLP blew its fan... its the fan thats not round... well its round but not
    going round.... <sigh>...

    Dismembering the fan discovered it popped a circlip off the end of the fan spindle. Never seen a setup like this... it's got two sets of bearings, a small spring for a bit of tension mounted behind the fan, jam the thing
    through the bearings and a small circlip mounted in a groove on the far side holds it all together. Altogether NOW!

    Well I reckon its probably only time before it pops another sprocket, so I'm either looking for a ~1mm circlip (boggle) never seen one that small. Or a replacement fan, its a strange low profile 70mm job...or some strange way to mount a more regular looking 80mm over the top of it all.

    Communications may remain spotty. If the clip pops its cork again the thing will thermal out and shutdown. Worst comes to worst I may be able to single node it on one of the defunct veritons.
