• Security Level

I created a new sec.level in my bbs and upgraded some users to it. After complains :) i realized that options in the security level editor override per user options. For example:

In the sec.level i put max time 1000min. Now all users in that sec.level have 1000mins... but what if i want to a specific user to give 2000min? I noticed also that when in the sec.level editor the time is 0 and in the user editor i put 9999min for time, again the sec.level option is overriding the user
option. So in that case the user is kicked out because he has no time available.

I am not sure that i fully understand the logic behind sec.levels and per user settings, but shouldn't be able to set more privileges in some users, even if they are all in the same sec.level? Is this possible?

The user editor is the current state of a user account. The user record isn't for setting user options, its their actual user data.

The time left in the user editor shows how much time they have left on their account, its not a setting for how much they get per day. For the number of downloads its how many files they've actually downloaded, not the number of downloads they're allowed to have. Does that make sense?

When a new day comes, the user gets the number of minutes configured for their security level for that day, which can be set in the security level editor.
