to read then when I am done going through everything just CTRL-C to mark them as read.. It doesn't take long to mark read a ton of echos..
But I gather there's no way currently to pin favorites to the top. No biggie. My work-around effectively does the same thing.

It's not that I don't want to read them, it's more that I want to read my favorites now and save the others for later. So in my case marking them read would be counter-productive.
