I have a need to start any telnet login at node higher than 2. I want to reserve connections on 1 and 2 for something else.

When you run Mystic, it generates a free node for that connection. There is no way to make it start at a certain number at the moment, but this IS something that could be added.
It needs to work this way because the connections could be coming from telnet, mgetty via a modem, etc, all of which would have no way to know which nodes in use vs which are not. That is why Mystic handles that
part dynamically.
