Hi All,

I know this was discussed a few months back, but I can't find the messages now...

When posting a text file into a Mystic message, or even cutting/pasting into
a message, it seems any instance of a ' or " will cause weird characters to come up in their place.

Here is an example of a trivia question that I had posted into another
network message:

49. Madonna sang “Just try to understand, I’ve given all I can,
’cause you got the best of me” in which song/video?

It should read as follows:

49. Madonna sang "Just try to understand, I've given all I can, 'cause you got the best of me" in which song/video?

Would this have anything to do with codepage CP437 instead of UTF8? That is
the only thing I can think of...

I'll try some testing with that and see what happens.

I can't recall that discussion but I wonder if they issue is the software you're using to cut and paste and/or the OS this is happening on?

I don't think I have encountered this one.

I think the file you want to post is in UTF8 and the display is in another codepage, perhaps cp437.

Use an editor like Notepad++/Geany and change the codepage to something else and try again. I think this will do it.

I think the file you want to post is in UTF8 and the display is in
another codepage, perhaps cp437.

This is exactly it as far as I can tell. The content being pasted in is in UTF8.
