So! Bought a 25GB block from Astraweb Usenet server. I was all excited to
hook up different newsgroups to the BBS here, but when I actually went to do it... no idea how.

Anyone (*cough* Paul *cough) got a tip on how to do this?

I don't know enough about Astraweb to comment. But if there are newsgroups
you want to carry on your BBS that are currently not on offer via the fsxNet Usenet gateway (21:1/10) then I'm all ears and happy to look at carrying them for you to access.

You may want to try and hook up to the gateway as a starter anyway? It's free and bi-directional etc. Info is in the infopack. If interested I can add your records to 21:1/10 BinkD server so you can poll and areafix what you want.

    Best, Paul

You need a usenet client that can download articles in a format (usually SOUP) that is understood by your mail tosser, or run through a conversion package to and from pkt format so it can. Soupgate was a popular solution ages ago. I don't know if it still is.
