(very cool indeed) :)
Hey Slider it just occurred to me. Don't do any transactions etc
while using the VPN unless the browser shows you are using a HTTPS
session (using SSL encryption). The VPN only encrypts the
transmission, when the message exits it does so in plain text unless
your browser is showing a HTTPS connection.
All banks government departments etc use HTTPS by default, but just
check the little padlock icon in the browser url window make sure it's
locked.
Another thing, while using the VPN means you are using another
(probably ChiCom) DNS which because it's offshore won't be blocked by government mandate, it does NOT protect your bittorrent p2p stream.
The Opera VPN only encrypts and tunnels the browser handshakes etc,
not a completely different client which is uTorrent or whatever you're
using.
If you have a major issue with the possiblity of being sued by
copyright holders in your country (we don't) then you really need to
use a commercial VPN like Cybeerghost (recommended). Commercial VPNs
encrypt and exit all around the world *every* outgoing connection by
your entire machine. Total safety, and well worth it. I pay about
$70 AUD for 3 years, they are very competitive.
