China and India slowing down. A German recession. The coronavirus. This is
it -- the flashpoint for a global depression. It will be undeniable well >before November. And it will sink Trump.

The Arts will suffer from a recession too, I suppose.
Hell, I am surprised the theatres are not empty
already over virus fears - and tomorrows broke
people will not be able to afford current ticket
prices, or even many of those online services.
China has skipped a beat for sure. I see no reason
why that virus will not sweep poor-ish and densely
packed India as well.
HOWEVER, Trump's efforts to re-boot Made In USA
may pay off in an unexpected way here ... the USA is
in a position now to be largely self-sufficient. Energy
for sure, other vital supplies and manufacturing facilities
too. Might not be the greatest lifestyle for awhile, but we
will not be nearly as screwed as most of the EU and
many other places in the world. We might "recess", but
many others will "DEpress", assuming you are reading
your tea leaves properly (which you will no longer be
able to obtain if that virus sweeps India ...)
Upshot, the USA will be in a position to rebound first.
If you want it, you will have to buy American for a while,
kind of like after WW2.
Trumps legacy will be as a heroic figure.
